Join our Strava Challenge and support Protect Our Winters Aotearoa’s Bus Campaign! The Otago Regional Council is releasing their updated regional transport plan soon, so we’re taking our open letter calling for a bus connecting Queenstown & Wanaka over the Crown Range to them. The more people & businesses that sign their support, the louder our voice! This is your chance to take meaningful action and help shape a more sustainable future for public transport in the Otago region.
Challenge Period:
Start: 27th January
End: 9th February (2 weeks)
How to Participate:
- Join Protect Our Winters Aotearoa on Strava.
- Sign our Open Letter to the Otago Regional Council and share it to spread the word.
- Complete the challenge goals to be entered into our prize draw!
Challenge Goal:
Cover 68.9 km by any outdoor activity over two weeks – the distance from Queenstown to Wanaka!
Level Up for Bonus Entries:
Boost your chances of winning by completing one or more of these additional challenges:
- Gain 1121m elevation in a single activity – representing the highest point of the Crown Range.
- Tackle the Motatapu Track for an unforgettable adventure.
- Summit one of the Crown Range peaks, such as Crown Peak, Rock Peak, Mt Scott, Mt Sale, or Mt Allen or another of your choice!
- Post a link to our Open Letter or public transport survey on your Strava Feed
Take The Crown Prize Draw
- Once you have completed the goal outlined above & signed the letter, you will go into the prize draw (including an Icebreaker x POW thermal set).
- To ensure we know you have completed the goal, we need Strava evidence that you have done so! Please post into our the Club on Strava to let us know.
