Moving Banks

Have you noticed our #divestthedirt campaign? We’re encouraging the POW community to shift their money out of banks invested in fossil fuels, and into banks that don’t invest in fossil fuels.

If you’re with us in spirit but dubious about the speed and safety at which you can switch to a better option – we’re here to help you. But don’t just take it from us. Here’s what the NZ Banks association had to say about switching banks:

“Switching banks is easy, safe and fast. Your new bank can take care of everything in five days – that’s one of the fastest switching processes in the world”.

“It’s ridiculous in hindsight, but I thought I didn’t have time to open a new bank account, I delayed for probably 6 months because I thought I was too busy. When I finally did it only took about 15 minutes, I even got a new debit card on the spot. I sleep better every night knowing that my money isn’t contributing to climate change.”
