Meet at the Village green from 3pm. Bring signs/flags that show support for climate action and justice! Then we’ll start to march down Ballarat st/Queenstown mall to Earnslaw park at 3:30 and make it to Earnslaw park around 4pm for music, speeches and a good time!

Our demands:
- No new fossil fuel mining or exploration
- Lower the voting age to 16
- Support regenerative farming
- 30% marine protection by 2025
- E-bike rebates for low-income households

This year, Politicians will campaign for the leadership of Aotearoa. Do they really know how to do the job?
We’ve been asking for real commitment to achieve our climate goals, yet many elected officials are unwilling to have the hard talks that are required to lead Aotearoa into a climate ready future. We are sick of a Red and Blue flashing police light government that is risking our future in the name of short sighted economic gain. We are sick of the same old story.
WHO WILL STAND FOR REAL CHANGE?
Right wing AND left wing politicians both seem to belong the same fattened kererū, and we are getting hungry enough to start throwing stones.
WHO WILL STAND FOR THE PEOPLE?
Our community leaders have been asking for the same damn thing, for a bloody long time. Now, we’re getting sick of asking. If the politicians won’t stand for a livable future, then get out of the way.
We’ve been telling our government in submissions, deputations, and consultations, but the feedback process is not accessible or equitable, and lacks accountability. The people have not been adequately heard, or represented. So Taraketi, We want to know;
